Cloud AI assistant (MCP)
The Cloud AI assistant lets you connect your own AI assistant to Reviso through the Reviso Cloud MCP server, so it can read client feedback across your sites, draft replies, and implement changes with your permission. You bring your own AI assistant and subscription (Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients). Reading your feedback works on any plan once the site is connected to Reviso Cloud; letting the assistant apply edits to your pages needs Reviso Pro. Every change it applies is revertable. Reviso Cloud and the AI assistant are in Beta (see Reviso Cloud).
What MCP is
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants call tools. Reviso runs a hosted MCP server at getreviso.io/mcp that securely proxies your assistant’s requests to your connected site. You are not giving an AI assistant your WordPress login: it talks to Reviso, and Reviso talks to your site.
What you need
- A site connected to Reviso Cloud.
- Your own AI assistant and subscription. The cost of the AI is yours, not an add-on from us.
- Reviso Pro on the site, if you want the assistant to apply edits. Reading and responding work on any plan.
What the assistant can do
- Read: reviews, comments, screenshots, and the element and structure of a page.
- Respond: reply to a comment, resolve it, or assign it.
- Edit (Pro): refine wording, update or insert an element, and revert any change from a snapshot.
In practice the useful pattern is triage: ask the assistant what is outstanding across your sites, have it group a messy round of comments into a sensible order, then let it draft the replies you would have typed. Applying edits is the step to hand over last, once you trust the first two.
Snapshots and reverting
Every applied edit is snapshotted first, so you can revert it at any time. Auto-applying edits currently works on Bricks pages. This is the safety model that makes handing edits to an assistant reasonable: you are never one bad instruction away from an unrecoverable page.
How to set it up
- Connect the site to Reviso Cloud (see Reviso Cloud).
- For editing pages, make sure the site is on a Pro or higher licence. Reading and responding to feedback works on any plan.
- Connect your AI assistant to the Reviso MCP server at
getreviso.io/mcp.
In your Reviso Cloud dashboard, the Connect panel walks you through pointing an assistant at the MCP server and confirms once one is connected.
Privacy
When you use the Cloud AI assistant, the comments, screenshots and page structure it acts on are sent to getreviso.io and relayed to the AI agent you connect. Nothing is sent without the Cloud connection enabled, and you can disconnect at any time.
Worth thinking about before you connect: client feedback can contain things your client would consider confidential. The assistant you connect is your choice, so the data handling terms that apply are the ones you have agreed with that AI provider.
Limitations during Beta
- Automatic application of edits works on Bricks pages.
- A Cloud connection is required, so this does not work on a site kept entirely offline from Reviso Cloud.
- Behaviour and available tools are still changing while the feature is in Beta.
Common questions
Do I pay Reviso for the AI?
No. You connect your own assistant and subscription, so you control which model you use and what it costs.
Can the assistant change my site without me asking?
It acts on the instructions you give it, editing needs Reviso Pro, and every applied edit is snapshotted so it can be reverted.
Which assistants work?
Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients.
Does reading my feedback need Pro?
No. Reading and responding work on any plan once the site is connected to Reviso Cloud. Only applying edits needs Pro.
