License
License — activating Pro
The free plugin works fully without a licence. A licence only matters once you install the Pro addon.
Buying a licence
getreviso.io/pricing — payment is via Lemon Squeezy. Each licence comes with:
- A licence key (looks like
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) - A number of activations (1 for Solo, 3 for Studio, 10 for Agency)
- A 14-day money-back guarantee
You’ll get the key + a download link for reviso-for-bricks-pro.zip in the confirmation email.
Activating
- Install the Pro plugin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → reviso-for-bricks-pro.zip → Activate.
- WP-admin → Reviso → Settings → License → paste key → Activate.
Reviso checks the key against Lemon Squeezy’s API and, on success, stores a per-site instance ID. You’ll see a green “Active” badge.
Multiple sites
Each activation = one site. If you’ve bought a Studio licence (3 activations) you can activate the same key on 3 separate sites.
- Activating on site 4 will fail with “Activation limit reached” — either upgrade your licence at Lemon Squeezy, or deactivate it on a site you no longer need.
To deactivate on a site you’re decommissioning: Settings → License → Deactivate. That frees up the seat instantly.
Deactivating
Two reasons you’d deactivate:
- Migrating the licence to a different site. Deactivate on the old site (frees the seat), then activate on the new one.
- Cancelling the subscription. Deactivate first, then cancel via Lemon Squeezy — that way the seat is reclaimed cleanly.
When deactivated, the Pro plugin keeps working but Pro features show as locked + a “Licence required” notice appears on the dashboard.
Renewing / expired licences
Reviso re-checks every licence weekly. If your subscription lapses:
- Pro features keep working for 7 days (grace period)
- After 7 days, Pro features lock until you renew + re-activate
We don’t break your site or lose your data when a licence expires — your comments, approvals, and reviews all stay intact.
Beta channel
If you’ve been invited to the beta channel, add this to your wp-config.php:
define( 'REVISO_PRO_UPDATE_URL', 'https://getreviso.sv10.gmbdev.cloud/updates/reviso-for-bricks-pro-beta.json' );
You’ll get beta releases automatically.
Troubleshooting
“Licence invalid or expired” when activating.
- Double-check you’ve pasted the right key (no surrounding whitespace).
- Check your Lemon Squeezy account → does the subscription show as active?
- Drop a line to ben@getreviso.io with your purchase email.
“Licence server unavailable”.
Your host is blocking outbound HTTPS to api.lemonsqueezy.com. Talk to your host (rare on most managed WP hosting; common on locked-down corporate firewalls).
Activating works but Pro features don’t unlock.
Make sure both plugins (Reviso for Bricks + Reviso for Bricks — Pro) are active. Pro requires the free plugin to be installed — it self-deactivates otherwise with a notice.
